Privacy Notice

This notice explains, as required by Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), how we process the personal data of visitors who use the contact, quote, catalogue download and newsletter forms on our website or our WhatsApp line.

Personal Data We Process

• Identity and contact details: your name, institution or company, e-mail address and phone number.
• Request details: the subject and content of your message, the product or model you are interested in, the files you attach to the form (projects, drawings, photographs) and the catalogue you download.
• Newsletter details: the e-mail address you subscribed with, where you subscribed and when you gave your consent.
• Security details: when the form was sent, your IP address and browser information.

Our forms do not ask for special categories of personal data; please do not include such information in your message or in the files you attach.

Why We Process It

• To answer your enquiries and quote requests, and to prepare and send site surveys and quotations,
• to contact you about your request and conduct pre-contract discussions,
• to send you the catalogue you asked for and get back to you about our products and your enquiries,
• if you subscribed to our newsletter, to send you e-mails about our products, projects and announcements,
• to keep the website and its forms secure and prevent abuse and spam,
• to meet our legal obligations and respond to requests from competent authorities.

How We Collect It and on What Legal Basis

Your personal data is collected electronically through the forms on our website, by e-mail, by phone and over WhatsApp, and processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5(2) of the KVKK: it is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract (c), it is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation of the data controller (ç), and it is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed (f). For the newsletter, your e-mail address is processed on the basis of the explicit consent you give when subscribing (KVKK Article 5(1)) and the consent to commercial electronic messages required by Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce.

Transfers

The personal data you send through our forms is hosted in Türkiye and is not transferred abroad by KRCLAB. Only as far as the purposes above require, it may be shared with our service provider in Türkiye that hosts our website and e-mail, and with competent public authorities when they request it.

If you choose to write to us on WhatsApp, your messages and phone number are carried by the WhatsApp service, whose provider may process them on servers abroad under its own privacy policy. The map on our pages is loaded from Google Maps, which receives your IP address when it loads. Using WhatsApp is optional; you can send the same request by form, e-mail or phone.

Retention

Form records, the files you attach and catalogue download records are kept for at most two years and are then deleted automatically; they may remain in our security backups for up to fourteen more days. If your request leads to a contract, the retention periods set by the relevant legislation apply. After that, your data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Your newsletter subscription is kept until you withdraw your consent. You can leave the newsletter at any time without giving a reason: simply reply to one of our e-mails or write to info@krclab.com, and your address is removed from the list.

Your Rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you may apply to KRCLAB to:

• learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information about it,
• learn the purpose of the processing and whether it is used accordingly,
• know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred,
• request its correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
• request its deletion or destruction under the conditions of Article 7 of the KVKK,
• request that corrections, deletions and destructions be notified to the third parties it was transferred to,
• object to an outcome against you that results solely from automated analysis,
• claim compensation if you suffer damage because of unlawful processing.

How to Apply

You can send your request in writing to the address above or by e-mail to info@krclab.com, in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller. We answer free of charge within thirty days at the latest. If your request is refused, you find the answer insufficient or it is not answered in time, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Board under Article 14 of the KVKK.
