A laboratory has to work safely and efficiently for years, not only on the day it opens. We renovate laboratories whose use has changed, whose equipment has grown or whose infrastructure needs renewing, and we confirm with tests and calibration that fume hood, ventilation and cleanroom systems still meet the required safety conditions.

Laboratory Renovation

We survey your existing laboratory, assess your workflow and new needs, and prepare the renovation design. The bench and cabinet layout, fume hoods, gas, water and electrical services, ventilation and air conditioning are handled in one design, and our own team manufactures and installs the furniture. Thanks to our modular, demountable systems, the renovation disrupts the laboratory’s work as little as possible.

Testing, Calibration and Validation

  • Fume hoods: face velocity measurement at the sash opening, smoke tests and calibration of the airflow indicator, to the EN 14175 test procedures
  • Conformity check after installation: the required safety conditions verified together with the people in charge and the users
  • The tests required at the validation stage of cleanroom HVAC systems
  • User training and guidance on safe use

Maintenance and Repair

We maintain and repair ventilation systems and equipment: fans, ducts, filters, grilles and dampers, fume hood mechanisms and control panels are checked regularly and parts are renewed where needed.

Keeping Up with Regulations

The rules governing laboratory safety do not change often, but current regulations should be followed every year, any revisions carried out and the staff concerned kept informed. We plan our renovation and maintenance work around these requirements.
